Whole duck foie gras, salt, pepper.
Place the tin in your fridge the day before you want to eat it. Take it out of the fridge about 30 minutes before serving. When you have taken the foie gras out of the tin, remove the fat around it, then slice it.
Tip: For a clean and neat cut, dip the blade of your knife in hot water after each slice you cut.
To be consumed as it is with some toasted bread, with a fig or onion confit, and a glass of sweet white wine. Marvellous!
For better results, sprinkle a few crystals of fleur de sel onto your slice of foie gras before eating.
For even more indulgence, serve with a small amount of Périgord truffle.
